· The Harveys Lake Beach Association (H.L.B.A) is not liable for any injuries or fatalities that occur within the beach property or swimming area. By accessing the beach or accessing the lake, you accept liability for your safety on H.L.B.A. Property.
· When you swim, you swim at your own risk whether a lifeguard is present or not. Swimming is confined to roped area and can only be done when a lifeguard is on duty. No night swimming allowed. Underwater breathing apparatus is not permitted. No scuba diving will be permitted in the swim area.
· All children 14 years of age or younger must be accompanied and always supervised by a responsible adult.
· No diving, no rock throwing, no throwing of sand, or sport items of any type, no pets, no alcoholic beverages and no fishing at any time. Glass or breakable containers & fires on the beach are prohibited.
· No Smoking or Vaping on the beach.
· You are allowed to access the beach outside of lifeguard hours using your gate code. If you choose to do so, you accept the responsibility of asking to see badges of those entering the beach OR keeping the gate locked. If you are the last member on the beach in the evening it is your responsibility to lock the gate.
· Boisterous, immoral, indecent conduct including foul language, and inappropriate clothing or offensive wording on clothing worn on this family-oriented beach, will not be tolerated. Only conventional swim attire and clothing are permitted.
· Beach will be vacated during lightning & thunderstorms.
· Members are responsible for registering their guests with the lifeguards and the conduct of their guests on the beach.
· No feeding the ducks due to e coli.
Kayak and Paddleboards
· Kayaks and Paddleboards are the only approved watercraft allowed to be launched. These need to be launched from the right side of the beach.
· Only members who’ve rented a berth on the Kayak rack can leave their watercraft on the beach overnight on their assigned rack space.
- You must use a bike lock mechanism on your stored watercraft. PFDs and paddles cannot be stored on the beach. H.L.B.A. is not liable for any missing or damaged items.
· All members who have rented a rack space agree to remove watercraft from the beach by October 1st.
· When launching watercraft from H.L.B.A property you are assuming the risk and liability involved with those activities. You are also responsible for complying with PA Fish Commission water safety regulations.
Failure to comply with the rules and regulations will result in loss of beach privileges for the season.
